About Me

Servant of God, Visionary & Organizer of  the Ministry

Pastor Evette Murray

Pastor Evette Murray is the wife of Jonathan Murray and is the mother of Toya and Jamon Murray.

“When I look back over my life and the things I have been through, Hallelujah, I thank God because he kept me in my mess. So, I am on fire with a God-given purpose to lead other people to the same saving power through Christ Jesus.” Amen.

After I heard the call in nineteen and ninety-seven and running away from God, I finally answered it and labored in the ministry for over fifteen years. As a result, I was asked to lead two Church prayer ministries and taught biblical lessons. In the year two thousand and fourteen, a group of us came together under the vision God gave me to start the ministry. God gave me the ministry name Standing in the Gap Anointing Ministries as I was praying to the Lord one day. We began as a conference call ministry, and now God is enlarging our borders. We are prayer-driven because I realize that it is vital to the Christian walk, and I know prayer works. However, we are more than a prayer ministry; we pray, teach, preach, deliver, evangelize, and move as the Holy Spirit moves.

Furthermore, my achievements are I went back to school in two thousand and thirteen and thus received my Associate in Theology at A. L. Hardy Academy of Theology. I currently attend Saint Leo University and completed eighty-seven credits out of one hundred and twenty working on my B.A. in Religion. Also, I am a member of Omega Nu Lambda, a national honor society for online students.

All and all, the glory belongs to God! As we move to our next level, I want to thank everyone that joins us on Zoom—the members for their faithfulness. Finally, I want to especially thank Bishop Kenneth Murray, The R.E.A.C.H Center of Houston, Texas, for his support, believing in me, and making this website come to fruition. The grace of the Lord Yeshua (Jesus), the Messiah (Anointed One), the love of God, and the fellowship of the Ruach Hakodesh (Holy Spirit) be with you all. Amen!

Mission Statement

Evette accepted the call to equip and educate people with God unadulterated word through teachings, prayers, and genuine fellowship. Standing in the Gap goal is to become an international ministry without borders or walls by going out into the highways, byways, and airways to compel the people to become members of the household of faith by receiving Jesus their Savior. Eventually, the ministry will consist of the fivefold ministry and prayer intercessors exposing themselves to protect the land from any impending dangers like physical and spiritual diseases (Ez. 22:30).

Our Beliefs

We are a Non-denominational ministry, We believe in one God and one mediator Christ Jesus (1 Tim. 2:5). We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Mt. 28:19). Also, we believe the scriptures that announce God sent His Son “Jesus as both fully human and fully divine,” the Messiah (the Anointed One of God). Also, we accept both the water and Holy Spirit baptism. We believe that God sent the Holy Spirit as our Comforter to help us, for instance, with gifts like prophecy and speaking or praying in unknown tongues in Greek called Glossolalia.
Furthermore, Jesus emptied Himself (kenosis) in Philippians 2:7 of his divine attributes and came in the likeness of men, crucified for the sins that separated us from God—but rose on the third day. As a result, salvation, eternal life, and resurrection are guaranteed to the people who receive him as their Savior. What is more, we uphold the apocalyptic eschatology that forms the framework for Jesus coming back to earth soon to put an end to all cosmic evils (Rev. 22:12-13). Overall, we believe that the Bible is an infallible, canonical, inspired Word of God given to its authors, whether one thinks they are genuine or pseudonymous. We understand that you may have many questions about God’s Word, so we make a great effort to answer them through our teachings.
